I was shopping at Costco last week and guess what they had in the store? Christmas decorations! At first thought, it seems to be way too early to be thinking about Christmas but then again, maybe it might not be. At the rate the time seems to fly by, Christmas will be here before I realize it. So it not be a bad idea to start thinking about Christmas now.

Before I moved here, I have never cooked before. So when my family visits my food blog occasionally, they are a little suspicious that I made the food myself. I think for Christmas this year, I have a great idea for a Christmas present for my family. I am thinking of making a photo calendar filled with my own food photos to show them my creations. That way they will be able to be reminded that I can actually cook!! Haha!! I was looking at VistaPrint to see if I can start making my photo calendars. Lil’ C started preschool this week and we were both so excited! Lil’ C was excited to see her friends again while I was excited to get a couple of hours of free time! I love my daughter very much but it is just so awesome to get a couple of personal time just to relax.

Anyway, going to preschool means that Lil’ C will be bringing back lots of art and craft projects from school everyday. I don’t keep all her art work but usually if I see a nice one, I will label it with a Dymo label maker and file it away in file folders. Hopefully someday I will compile all her art work together and make a scrapbook. Then she can look back and enjoy all her previous masterpieces.

Since she also has her lunch at school, I will also label her lunch box and her drink bottle so that she doesn’t get it mixed up with the other kids. Do you notice that most of the 3 year old girls all carry the same pink princess lunch box? I guess they are all going through that princess-loving phase.

Oops, I almost forgot that I will need to send an extra set of clothing to school to keep there for emergency purpose. I will have to label those clothes too. I guess I have a lot of labeling to do. Thank goodness for my Dymo label maker which makes my work so much easier.

My little girl will start preschool next week. Luckily she is still able to fit into most of her clothes and I do not have to buy too many new clothes for her. I cannot believe it is almost the end of August already. Time really flies! School will start in just a couple of weeks and pretty soon after that will be Halloween. I still remember last year was the first Halloween that my 2 ½ year old went trick or treating. She wore a little princess costume. She looked so cute!

This year I have no idea what kind of costume she wants. I went grocery shopping last week and it cost me more than $100!! Sigh… everything is to be so expensive nowadays. It seems like the living expenses keep rising and yet the salary does not. I used to work in the technology field before I quit to become a stay at home mom. I do not regret quitting since my priority is to take care of my little girl. Time really flies!! I cannot believe it is August already. Where did summer go? This summer we have been so busy that it went by so fast. I remember I always loved the first day of school when I was young. That is because I know that I would be getting a new backpack, new books, new stationeries and even new clothes. I love getting new stuff. However all these excitement would dwindle after the first couple of weeks when I start to lose some of my new stationeries especially my pencils. Somehow someone would borrow it and never returned it. I guess it was inevitable since all the pencils look alike and nobody knew who it belong to. There was no label on those pencils to indicate that they were mine.

Well, Lil’ C will also be getting a lot of new school supplies for the new school year.
