A conversation that lead to today’s post:
Lil’ C: Mommy, can I have an apple smile?
Mommy: huh?? * blank look*
Lil’ C: First slice an apple into wedges. Take 2 wedges, spread some peanut butter on them, add a few marshmallows and smoosh them together.
Mommy: Oh……….
And voila, some apple smiles from an almost 5-year old!
Apparently she found her old Toddler’s Busy Book and got the idea from there. This is actually a great snack idea for little kids. Just prepare all the ingredients and let them assemble the smiles together themselves. I am sure they will love it.

so cute.. really look like a mouth & teeth
Hilarious AND nutritious!
Now that is very clever and yummy too. You could also slice the marshmallows to make them look like fangs for Halloween
We’ve made those around here too! His favorite is green apples with colored marshmallows, which he calls monster mouth =) I think that is really neat that your kidlet came to you and knew exactly what to ask for =)
lol! reminds me of a fake plastic mouth with white teeth!
Lil’C is very creative!
These are adorable! Thanks for sharing ‘em!

When my son saw this he wanted me to make this for his school snack tomorrow … unfortunately, no nut products are allowed at his school.
No worries … I guess I will have this ready for him when he returns from school!!! Yay! What a great idea!
