Bento #14 - Octopus Galore

Bento content: Octopus Hot Dog, Macaroni & Cheese with peas & corn, Mandarin Orange

The Octopus hot dog is really easy to make. Just cook your hot dog as you normally would. Then cut it into half. Make a few cuts with a scissors for the tentacles. Then poke a 3 holes on the “face”and fill it with sprinkles for the eyes and mouth.

Aw, this is so cute, and so clever of you to sculpt the sausage like this! C gobbled it all up in no time, I’m sure?! =)

Thanks! Ya, she loved it.

I pre-cut the tentacles before cooking, that way, the tentacles will curl up nicely (provided you use the whole sausage). Ah… the sprinkles is a good idea. I’ll adopt that next time. Thanks for your tips! Happy mother’s day to you!

Will try out your method next time. Thanks! :)
