I was bloghopping when I came across this recipe for Orange Cornmeal Shortbread. I love anything orangey (is there such a word?? :p ). Since I like shortbread too, I wanted to try it out even though I was a little hesitant about the cornmeal part.
It turned out a little thicker than what I wanted but that’s because I used a small pan. I should have used a larger pan so that it’s thinner. The cornmeal does add an interesting gritty texture to the shortbread and takes some getting used to but the flavor was pretty good.

Interesting but my lau ang being a traditional English, ……mmmm, maybe girls at work might like it.
judy, ya, it’s a little different from the traditional shortbread. Probably ur lau ang will find it strange! hehe…
