Serious Biscuit & Serious Pie @ Seattle

Yes, it’s artery-clogging and has a zillion calories but it is oh so yummy!! The above is called “The Zach” and it consists of fried chicken, bacon and a fried egg sandwiched between 2 biscuits and then smothered in black pepper tabasco gravy. This is definitely not a biscuit for the faint-hearted. Don’t worry, I don’t ever finish one of these by myself or my doctor would not be happy. We usually get this and something else to be shared among the 3 of us. This dish can be found in one of my favorite restaurant – Serious Biscuit. It’s actually a 2 restaurant in one. Serious Biscuit on the lower level and Serious Pie on the second level. There’s even a Dahlia Workshop at the back where they make all the baked goods for all of Tom Douglas’ restaurants.

Besides the biscuits, we usually order a pizza. My favorite is this – wood-fired pizza topped with soft cooked free range eggs, smoked prosciutto, pecorino sardo and arugula

Sometimes we will get the pizza with sweet fennel sausage, roasted peppers, provolone

The corn & green onion hush puppies are pretty good too!

The kiddo loves the fact that they serve coke in a bottle and root beer float in a mason jar. Always fun!
