Ham Chin Peng (Chinese Fried Dough)

This savory chinese 5 spice donut or better known as ham chin peng is a very popular snack in Malaysia. This deep fried dough is usually filled with red bean or glutinuous rice. I love to have it for breakfast but sometimes for tea time too. Anyway, this was one of a not very successful attempt at making this fried dough. It looks good but the texture was a little too hard. It’s back to the drawing board for now. Anyone has a good recipe for ham chin peng? 🙂
