Hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving! As for us, we were so busy getting together with friends all weekend and had so much fun that I think that we need another weekend just to get over this weekend!
For once, I didn’t have to cook anything this Thanksgiving, thanks to awesome friends. As much as I like to cook, it is nice to be able to enjoy Thanksgiving without worrying about whether the turkey will be done on time.
Anyway, back to this cake post. Yes, it’s another cake post. This cake was for Lil’ C’s best friend whose birthday is just a day after Lil’ C. Miss E loves ponies, unicorns, pegasus and horses. I did a My Little Pony cake for her last year. This year, she wanted yet another pony-related cake, a unicorn pegasus cake to be exact. Here’s how the cake turned out.
Originally I was planning to mold a unicorn pegasus out of sugar paste but I was really under a time crunch as Miss E’s birthday party was just a day after Lil’ C’s birthday party. Yes, it was a party weekend.
That’s why this blog has been so neglected. Anyway, to be safe, I decided to use the My Little Pony pegasus, added a gum paste horn and voila, a unicorn pegasus! I also made a rainbow, some clouds, stars and a little pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. The cake was a pink and purple butter cake and frosted with blue buttercream to resemble the sky.
