Whenever we go out for dim sum, we always tend to over-order. Initially we tried to order less so that we won’t have any leftover but after a couple of futile attempts at ordering less, I came to the realization that the it was just way too hard to order less dim sum since the best part of dim sum is the variety. Then I also learned that leftover dim sum makes the best bento. One steamed bun or one siew mai (steamed dumpling) goes a long way in a bento.
The top tier contains chinese lotus leaf sticky rice, broccoli and pan fried steamed bun (shan jin bao). Bottom tier contains carrot sticks with ranch dressing in the green container, white peaches (my favorite peaches! ) and a pirate candy from a pirate party the day before.
