Another reason for the backlog is getting the photos ready. The sorting, selecting and finally editing of photos takes time. It doesn’t help that I probably have thousands of unsorted photos in my hard drive right now. It’s so easy to be shutter-happy with a DSLR since their response is so fast. I wish there’s a program that does the whole photo process automatically! For now, please bear with me as I move along on my turtle speed.
First up are the photos from our spring break in Victoria last week.This trip was a very relaxing trip. Major highlights were the ferry rides, a trip to Butchart Gardens and the food. For breakfast, we had free breakfast at the hotels almost every day except one. So that day, we decided to check out Blue Fox Cafe.

While we were waiting in line, we noticed that almost every table had ordered the Eggs Benny(their version of Eggs Benedict). So we decided to get one too.
DH got the Eggs Blackstone which is a variation on the classic Eggs Benedict. Two poached free-range eggs, honey ham, smoked bacon, grilled tomatoes on top of toasted bagels and smothered in Hollandaise sauce and served with panfries. I love that they use bagels instead of the traditional english muffin. This was really good. Even Lil’ C loved it.
I decided to have the Oranges Del Sol which is cinnamon french toast topped with vanilla velvet sour cream, fresh orange segments, toasted pecans and syrup. So good! I love the vanilla sour cream instead of the usual butter. Everything was so fresh.
It was a great meal and we were definitely stuffed to the brim. We ended up skipping lunch after this huge breakfast. The only gripe I have about Blue Fox is the line! We were 3rd in line and yet we had to wait almost 1/2 hour. There were a very long line behind us, out of the restaurant and around the corner of the building. I think those behind us had to wait for more than an hour. Having said that, I have to give a thumbs up to the staff. They were still attentive and cheerful even though it was so busy.
