When you have a 4 year old that goes to school in the morning, most of the time it’s always a big rush. Usually I try to get her to eat a good breakfast but somedays it just seems impossible. Breakfast on those days are usually granola bars eaten in the car on the way to school. Sounds familiar, anyone? 😛
So naturally I was delighted (pun intended!) when I received a package of Quaker True Delights the other day courtesy of Foodbuzz and Quaker.
There were not just 1 bar in the package but 6 bars altogether!! 2 of each flavor – Dark Chocolate Raspberry Almond, Toasted Coconut Banana Macadamia Nut & Honey Roasted Cashew Mixed Berry.
Lil’ C tried the Toasted Coconut Banana Macadamia Nut and said that it tasted just like my banana bread. I sneaked in a little bite and realized that it really did taste like my banana bread. The banana essence is pretty strong and I also love the crunch of the macadamia nuts. Then we tried the Dark Chocolate Raspberry Almond and Honey Roasted Cashew Mixed Berry and they were both very good. I like the fact that you can actually see and bite the chocolate, berries and nuts in the bar, not just flavoring.
Guess who ate most of the True Delights bar? Lil’ C!! She just loved them! Since we tried them, she has been asking me to buy more. I will definitely be including them in my next shopping list. By the way, if you are interested, you can actually request for a free sample at the Quaker True Delights website too.
