During the holidays, we decided that we need a fix of authentic Chinese food. So we headed across the border to Richmond, BC. Richmond is actually part of metro Vancouver, just a little south of downtown Vancouver. It has the best and most authentic Chinese food in north America.
On our last trip, we went to Sun Sui Wah for dim-sum. This time around, we decided to go for dinner there. We have heard a lot of great things about their Alaskan King Crab and Roasted Squab. Unfortunately it was not Alaskan King Crab season, so we opted for Lobster instead.
Lobster with House Special Garlic Sauce

It was really good and fresh. Having grown up by the sea, I am very sensitive to the freshness of seafood. This definitely pass the test. I think it’s because their seafood turnover is high enough that the seafood do not stay in the tank for very long.
Roasted Squab – Another one of their signature dish.
Lil’ C loved this dish! All she had for dinner that night was squab This was a very popular dish. It seems like every table in the restaurant had this dish on their table. They even ran out of it towards the end of our meal.
We also ordered a stir-fry peatip. It was ok. Nothing to shout about. Overall, it was a good dinner.

Doesn’t it feel great when your kid loves a dish. It’s so difficult to get them to eat anything at all sometimes.
