Sorry for posting on such an old post, but just found your blog today and I'm reading the whole thing! :D

I'm so jealous of Seattle people. I would LOVE to be able to use Amazon Fresh! It's really difficult to shop because I don't have a car. I would KILL for a grocery delivery service in my area :D It'd be nice to not have to beg for a ride and inconvenience others. :3

Your bento are so cute, btw. Your daughter's lucky to have such a nice mommy. :)

When I lived in the Bay Area, I used Safeway's grocery delivery all the time. It was odd at first, but they have stored shopping lists so you can go through what you regularly purchase and choose them again. You can flip through the sales ads and search for only "buy one get one free" items. And you could select an option for them to replace an out of stock item with another -- for example, if they were out of the Smuckers Grape Jam, you could say you'd take Smuckers Strawberry instead. Or you could opt to pick a different brand of the same flavor. That could be problematic if you're rigid with your budget, but if it's an item you really need to have, it was worth it. The best thing about it was the delivery -- especially since I lived on the 3rd floor of an apartment building.

My only complaint was that the fruit/veggies were poorly chosen - usually it was best to just go to the store and select those items yourself. Oh and one time, they simply didn't deliver at all and we sat around waiting the entire 4-hour window. But that only happened once in more than 50 deliveries - and they gave me a $50 credit for our troubles. Overall I loved the service.

Yes, all the fruit and veggies look great! Do you have to pay for the delivery fee? Like we pay $2 for milk delivery.

Delivery is free if >$30.

wow....yeah, the quality really looks great. i wonder do they do it here in northern ireland. but anyway, tesco's just a few blocks away from my house, so i guess i'll have to shop for my grocery personally

Frankly I would prefer to shop personally if I have more time. :)
