Sweet Potato Fries

Posted at 6:15 pm under Toddler Food, Vegetables

I’m still on vacation right now and it really feels wierd when I don’t blog for a few days! So I am sneaking in some time at the laptop today.
If you have a kid who loves French Fries like mine, why not try this healthier alternative - Sweet Potato Fries.

Sweet Potato Fries

Just cut the sweet potato into strips, coat it with a little olive oil & bake it in the oven at 400F for 30-45 minutes depending on the size of your fries. It is naturally sweet and very nutritious.

Stumble it!

    Hello dear,
That’s an awesome idea, healthier than french fries too.
I have a question, how do I pick or choose sweet potato? I remember once I bought it and when I cut it, the color is different, very much lighter and a little dry.
By the way, Happy New year to you and all at home…
    *Cheers to 2008*

Hi Nicole, Happy New Year to you too!! Frankly I am not very good at picking out sweet potatoes but I noticed that they have both yams & sweet potato at my grocery store. They look almost the same but I usually get Yam. Yam is usually more orange. As for dry, try to make sure that the skin is not wrinkled or just looks old. Hope that helps. :)

Looks yum! I sometimes do a shredded version, so it takes less time to bake, and add a bit of cinnamon for extra sweetness!

    Great idea! Thanks!
