After spending a day cooking and baking, I love to sit on my comfy couch and watch TV. Unfortunately in the summer, everything on TV seems to be reruns. That’s why I was very excited to find out about the new upcoming TV series called Burn Notice.
USA Network’s Burn Notice is about Michael Westen, a CIA Operative who had to use his survival skills when he found himself BURNED which in spy terms means getting fired by the agency and declared unreliable.
He returns to his hometown, Miami, determined to investigate the reason for his sudden termination. With all his bank accounts frozen, he needed money to fund his investigation. He turns into a private investigator and relies on his Special Ops training to help those who the police can’t or won’t help.
If I were in Michael Westen’s shoes and find myself stranded in an unknown city with no money or resources, would I survive? I would definitely say yes!! What would I do? Unlike Michael Westen, I don’t have any Special Ops training, so I guess I will have to rely on my own basic survival skill. First I would try to raise some money. I would put on my most pitiful face, approach some people & tell them my sad story. I’m sure some people will definitely help, right?
Nowhere to sleep? I’m sure there’s a homeless shelter out there that I can bunk in. Hungry? Hopefully I would have raised enough money to buy food but if not, I would probably look for a food bank or if I’m really hungry, standing at the back door of a restaurant at closing time will probably get me some food. Hmmm… definitely not as exciting as what Michael Westen does! Oh well…….
I can’t wait for the show to start. Don’t forget to watch Burn Notice when it premiers on June 28th on USA Network. Meanwhile you can check out the Burn Notice website to see the series preview.
