Thanks to a dear friend who generously shares the harvest from her garden, I am able to make this Malaysian kuih from fresh cassava (tapioca) instead of the dried-up cassava sold in stores here. Thanks FL!! : )Recipe:
Ingredients:
2 ½ cups grated cassava
1 cups sugar
1 ½ cup coconut milk
2 tbsp condensed milk
Method:
1) Mix together all ingredients in a large glass bowl and microwave on high for 1 minute at a time until mixture is thick.
2) Pour the mixture into a baking tray.
3) Place some pieces of butter on top
4) Bake at 375 for 45 min. Then broil it for 3-5 min to brown the top crust.

When you mention `condensed milk`in a recipe…do you mean carnation milk or sweetened condensed milk as the thick sugary kind in the small cans? Thanks.
Rita, it’s the sweetened condensed milk (thick ones) not the evaporated milk.
